Our Story:

    Timeless Bermudian Elegance

Rosedon isn’t just a hotel—it’s a living piece of Bermuda’s history. Built in 1906 as a private residence, the house was crafted with care and thought, from its imported California Redwood beams to its intricately carved pillars from Chicago. What started as a family home has evolved into a luxurious boutique hideaway, while still holding onto its original charm.

    A History of Rosedon

Over the decades, Rosedon has seen world wars, Bermuda’s golden age of travel, and countless stories unfold within its walls. Through it all, our dedication to hospitality has stayed the same. Passed down through generations, the hotel remains a family-run gem, lovingly curated to offer an escape where modern elegance meets timeless tradition.

Every room, garden, and corner of Rosedon tells a story. From its beginnings lit by gas lamps to the grand expansions, the hotel weaves together the threads of history and island life. Whether you’re lounging by the pool or dining under the stars, you’ll feel the legacy of a place that’s been cherished for over a century.

In an era without electricity, Rosedon stood out as the only house in Bermuda lit by gas, piped directly from the E.J. Thompson Bakery nearby.
